    Default G.M. 602 headers...

I have a metric bomber, 3300 lbs with a 602 running on a 3/8 high bank. My current headers are 1 5/8... I'm looking into 1 7/8 headers and welding on about 14 inch long collectors. Any thoughts, help?

IMO...Way too big of a primary tube for the CI and RPM that a 602 turns...The 1 5/8" tube will out perform a 1 7/8" header every where in the power band...IMO

1 7/8 headers arent needed till about 600hp. you might even wanna try a 1 1/2 to 1 5/8 step header.

    Default headers

Call Mark @ Schoenfeld Headers, he'll hook you up with the right header, and for less than ANY other brand. They have an inhouse chassis dyno now, and they WILL NOT be out run by another brand. Plus, like Don Schoenfeld's motto always has been; "keeping the cost of racing down". We have been up there with a couple of customers cars, and both times they out ran other brands of headers. TB

P.S. The 602 likes a 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 step, with an 3" collector. Mark knows the lengths for each step, because their dyno mule has a 602 in it.
