    Default 4 point 1.5" vs 1.75"

    Debating on building my 4 point of my cage out of either 1.5" .120 vs 1.75" .095.

    what kind of car, i personally build my cars out of 1 3/4 .103 in a camaro, and 1 1/2 .125 in a metric

    Car will be a metric car. One other question I have. The car I found is an 81 malibu wagon, from what I found is the wheelbase is the same, is there any other differences in the frames.

    Proven in numerous testing that a 1 3/4 .095 is stronger than 1 1/2 .120...weight is a push...

    On my metric car the cage is 1 3/4 .083 wall and the frame / cage weights 500 lbs

    remember its only as strong as the design of the cage.. my chassis builder uses 1 1/2 dom .120 wall on the main cage door bars and 1 1/2 .095 dom every else .. seen some of his cars roll and flip violently numerous times and never have a problem then other cages guys made roll over going 35 mph and bend and buckle up..
