    Default 604 exhaust

604 in asphalt late model, looking to route the exhaust out the right side door. Currently have Schoenfeld headers, 2 into 1 Y collector, 5" muffler with a turn down. Any suggestions on the best muffler for power and meet a 98 db rule, exhaust tube size, muffler size, Y collector or X cross over, etc?
    Thanks

Might want to check with Dynoman...he has done a lot of "Outlaw" crate stuff on pavement and his building his own headers..

"Check with dynoman", ha ha. No thanks. Looking to keep the headers, just not sure if my 5" muffler is too big.
    Thanks,

    Schoenfeld says no.

I was looking at changing my exhaust out the door too.

And It too has Schoenfeld headers, 5" Howe exhaust with the combo muffler/ypipe. Called Schoenfeld and asked if 5" was too big. He said bigger is better.

I cant get out the door without running a 4" pipe with a 6" long muffler, and putting the muffler inbetween the 90 and the door. Schoenfelds are a long header.

Big motors can bet away with running a small diameter pipe and 90 bends in the exhaust. They have power to burn. But with a crate I dont think you can afford the loss.
