Bwrc removable underslung bar

I have an 09 bwrc and have always wonder what removing the underslung bar will do. Besides the obvious of more steer and drop. Has anyone ever removed the bat and noticed an improvement or its basically pointless to remove?

The earlier cars, like 03' or 04' didn't even have the underslung bars so I don't know exactly what it'd do. I assumed it was for ease of removing QC for service, not chassis tuning, but maybe it does have another purpose... Call Barry, I know he'll tell you.
