solid cam oil question
I am getting back into racing after 5 years off. I know the oil has changed since I last raced. I always used the Kendall GT1 green oil. What oil should I run in my imca engine now?

I use Valvoline VR1 20W50 full synthetic in the black bottle and have had great results

Solid cam motor will need an oil high in Zink. I would run Brad Penn. Very high in Zink which will be perfect for your solid lifters.

Brad Penn race oil is the same formula as the old kendall GT1 oil
-
what weight mobil one do you run? just one container of addative per how many quarts?
-
I have about 7 pints of the old EOS assembly lube that G.M. sold. Would that work and how much per 7 quarts of oil?
-
It'll be fine

I use Kendall GT1 20-50. The race blend has the zinc in it and I can buy it locally for under $3 a quart. No oil related issues so far.
