Default Upside down rear shock w/ shrader valve

RR shock has to be mounted upside down so spring clears lower bar and underslung bar. Anyone ever have problems with the schrader valve getting hit and/or torn off by mud chunks, rocks, etc?

Yes, last time was enough for me. I would work on getting it to clear with it up.

Very common problem. You have to make a deflector to keep rocks, lead, driveshafts or other debris from hitting it.

It might be possible to run a short extension on the shock. If not , you should try to re-locate the components. Try 1/2" spacers to move shock/trailing arm.

I am dealing with the same problem. A 1 inch piece of aluminum angle hose clamped to the shock that covers the Schrader valve works well.

Good idea about clamping the angle to it.
