Is there any truth to this? Seems too quick to promote and get it all together...

It's a Wednesday and Thursday. I could see them having a hard time drawing a crowd for such a show.

I live 5 mins from track... They don't draw a crowd there ever other than trailer races. Deerys own it so it does make some sense. Their schedule does say major motorsports announcement for those dates.

Been to numerous World Famous Figure 8 trailer races @ Rockford. If you've never seen one, it's a must do at least once. Ole Caterpillar Miller is hard to beat at Rockford.

The dates do line up right with both series being in the area.

Not sure what Deery have to do with it making sense. It'll be a one off show and the house will be packed.

WOO sprints draw a different crowd than late models. The 1/2 mile at Davenport always seemed to draw a much bigger crowd for WOO sprints than any touring LM series.

That is exactly what happened at Elko, Minnesota, a few years ago. Night 1 of a 2-day special event they ran WoO sprints and drew a record crowd for the track of over 5000. Night 2 was a Corn Belt Clash show that drew maybe 200 fans.

I would assume they wouldn't run WoO late models against the summernationals an hour down the road at lasalle on Thursday June 30. If they were running both I suspect it would be lates 29 and sprints 30.
