Barry was on the map long before Bloomquist, you should see all the names on the wall at Barry's, kinda like Rayburn's, the who's who of DLM fame are on those walls and deserve respect, not one liners...

Buck was awesome, a gifted driver and my childhood hero, that I had the pleasure of working with for 2 seasons on the John Deere car.

My favorite Barry Wright house car driver was probably Jack Pennington, it was fun to see him give Bloomer fits when the HAT tour came thru the Carolina's back then. Most people don't know this but the old Cherokee Speedway(big track) was a bit of an Achilles heel for Bloomer in the late 80's early 90's(Pre-BWRC) and every time Bloomquist came to town either Buck or Jack or Duvall always had his number, it was fun to watch, especially at speeds approaching 150mph! Red/White Tri-City Drywall/Clements/BWRC #41 would be honking down those long straights, cool as a cucumber.

Yes, I'm curious as to why JD didn't also go with #116? I would sure of thought that would of been a given being how successful that combination was.

I also now the relationship he had with BWR, so would like to hear some of the reasons...

Almost positive that he's running super too. Running a crate in addition. Surprised somewhat that he didn't end up in the 116.

I think some are overlooking the helping "develop" a new chassis with Barry. I'm assuming in doing so he's going to get some $$$ from every Icon they build. Plus Barry ain't going to work forever. Might as well get in there and go forward long term with Lance.
