Yes nice track surface w nice banking. Rest of place is old and a dump. No sanitation codes in sc i guess. Stands are made of concrete and steps are about 2' high. Pearson and petty and others had there racing roots there. Still enjoy going i just over look a few things

#146 is a shame and a disgrace. Why anybody would take such a wonderful dirt track and castrate it the way they did is beyond me. I'm certain the day they decided to shorten it, Rock Gault probably rolled over in his grave and threw up!

After Cherokee was neutered, Lancaster probably became the best dirt track in SC. Been a long time since I been there though. The last time I went Freddy Smith won in his LA Gear car. If I"m not mistaken, he briefly experimented with a V-6 engine and that was what was in the car that night.

That's where it was located and anyone could get that information from the Google map, which tells us it's on old stagecoach rd in Lawndale, NC. The name of it was "Thunder Valley Speedway". Of course, there were other tracks that used that name as well.
