    Default Race Of The Year

My pick is the Jackson 100. The heats were very good. The races was exciting throughout and the finish was amazing.

    What do you guys think?

Just curious...were you at the race? I saw the highlights. For sure a good race. I just think it's hard to judge races unless you were there or saw them live on PPV at the least.

That would have been in my top 5 for sure. I-80 is one of my favorite tracks.

Best Late Model race I saw this year was the Lucas Knoxville LM Nationals.

I've seen some good ones on video but the best race I saw live was one of the Friday night preliminary features before the PDC.
Babb and Shirley with Babb making a last lap turn 4 pass for the win.

FALS gets enough of these awards tho so I'll give the nod to I55. What was Babb and Shirley, became Shepp and Moran with Shepp gettin the win.

Have they announced yet on DoD? Or is this post leading up to the announcement?

Nah. I didn't get to one race all year. Physically I just can't do it. I was feeling pretty good and started out for the Lucas race at Fayetteville in July and it started raining after I was on the road for 15 minutes. Race rained out. I did see all the DoD PPVs and the Lucas Oil TV races though.

Why? Didn't you think the Jackson race was good?

Those were both great races. I think DoD picked I55 for race of the year....either that or it was runner up.

I didn't think the Dirt Million was that good. I understand why DoD felt it deserved to be ranked top 5, but there were a lot better races than that IMO

That's why I like asking these questions to the 4m people. They always toss out ideas other than the obvious. I saw the highlights of that one. Very good race.

That one was on the DoD list as well. Excellent race.

The one race that I was surprised didn't get any love from DoD was the race at Golden Isles when Richards and Hudson O'Neal battled for the win. That caution killed what looked to be a photo finish. Very exciting race.
