looking for some information on Nissan hardbody race truck.

My brother has a 87 nissan hardbody race pro4 truck. Looking for a rear diff pumpkin with 3.545 ring and pinion. Have a 4.10 need the other one for a different track. Also, does nissan make a 5 hole axle. If not, where can I get some 15x8 6 hole wheels. The housing is a 10bolt.

Dan,how hard would it be to put a Toyota rearend in there? they make 5 lug and have a 3.58 ratio

probably no problem at all. I had not thought of that. I will check that out. I dont think the trucks are that much different.

danny, car62 is right. common and easy to put 2wd toyota rear ends in the nissans and couriers. i always used the nissan but i ran the 4.38 which is easy to find. toyota 2wd rears use the ford 5x4.5 pattern. i think the nissans, couriers and 4wd drive toyotas use the same pattern as a 6 lug chevy pu which is easy to find wheels for. i know i never had trouble finding 6 lug wheels for my hardbody. if you run the toyota rear end you might try and see if the toyota spindles will work on your nissan. then you would have 5 lug wheels front and rear.

Olin, I am going to try to find the toyota one. The nissan has a locked 4.10 rear end and I need something in the 3.55 range for the 3/8 in Hanford. 4.10 will probalby work fine on the 1/4 mile in Porterville. Using 2nd gear ford trans, 2.14 with ford engine. I dont know much about these nissan motors so I will just sell the stuff I got with the truck. Have a 2.4 with a L20 head with ross pistons, and a 2.4 3 valve with a bad piston. Have all the extra stuff. manifolds, cannon, two headers, extra l20 head with a 5.35 solid cam, lots of gaskets and parts. Anyone in that area looking for Nissan stuff.

dan, post your nissan parts on www.sprintcarfan.com . go to the message board and list them in the garage sale area. there are a few guys in this area that run that nissan combo and might be interested in it.
