Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Set to Invade North Georgia and Sugar Creek on June 20-21
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Franklin Enterprises will preside over a doubleheader in the Peach State on June 20-21. Up first will be a visit to North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Friday night for a $4,000 to win showdown. The double-dip will then conclude on Saturday evening with a $5,000 payday up for grabs at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Up to $2,000 in additional bonus money is also on the line each night, which could up the driver’s winning total to $6,000 and $7,000 respectively.
In the seven SAS races held so far in 2025, there have been five different winners. Only Dillon Tidmore (Winder-Barrow Speedway, North Alabama Speedway) and Cory Hedgec0ck (I-75 Raceway, Penton Raceway) have reached victory lane twice this year. Single race winners on the SAS tour include Joseph Joiner (Southern Raceway), Ryan Crane (Southern Raceway), and Billy Franklin (West Alabama Speedway).
At North Georgia Speedway on Friday, the pit gates will open at 3:00pm and the grandstands will allow fans into the facility starting at 4:00pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6:00pm and hot laps will take to the racetrack at 6:30pm. In addition to the ground-pounding Super Late Models, the 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Front Wheel Drives, and 602 Beginners are also on the racing card.
Adult admission into the grandstands will be $20.00 and admission into the pit area will be $40.00. Kids ages 5-11 will be admitted into the stands for $10.00 and into the pits for $15.00. Children ages 4 and under will be allowed onto the speedway grounds for FREE. Fence parking will be $30.00 for the vehicle plus general admission. On Saturday at Sugar Creek Raceway, the pits will open at 3:00pm and the stands will start to allow patrons into the track at 5:00pm. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm and hot laps will light up the racetrack starting at 6:30pm. Along with the Super Late Models, the 604 Late Model, 602 Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Street Stock, Front Wheel Drive, Pony, and Strickly Stock/Crown Vic divisions will also be in action.
Grandstand admission for this big event will be $25.00 for adults, $15.00 for kids ages 11-15, and FREE for children ages 10 and under. Pit admission will be $45.00 for adults, $25.00 for kids ages 11-15, and FREE for children ages 10 and under. Fence parking will be $25.00 for the vehicle plus general admission. Any driver not advancing into the feature field will receive $75.00 in tow money.
