    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

    February 25, 2026

Saturated Grounds at Senoia Raceway Force Postponement of Red Clay 602 Series Point Opener

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Following a successful start to 2026 in the ‘Winter Freeze’ at Screven Motor Speedway, the points portion of the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series was scheduled to start this Saturday night, February 28 at Senoia Raceway. Unfortunately, the Senoia, Georgia oval is currently heavily saturated from recent rain and cold temperatures. With the potential of more wet weather on the way later this week, the decision was made to postpone the $2,500 to win points opener.

No immediate make-up date is ready to be announced, but both the series and the racetrack are committed to rescheduling the single-day event. Next up on the calendar for the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will be a visit to I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee on Thursday, April 2. A $2,000 first place prize will be up for grabs for the 602 stars in early April at the Volunteer State venue. More information will be announced soon at www.RedClaySeries.com.
