    SAS Tour Makes Stops at Penton Raceway and North Georgia Speedway this Weekend

    Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Makes Stops at Penton Raceway and North Georgia Speedway this Weekend

    (BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Following a successful ‘Winter Freeze’ opening weekend at Screven Motor Speedway last month, the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties roars into the states of Alabama and Georgia on March 6-7 for a pair of $5,000 to win events. Penton Raceway in Lafayette, Alabama will play host to the annual ‘Sammy Cooper Classic’ on Friday night, while North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia will hold their season opening program on Saturday evening.

    At Penton on Friday, the gates will swing open at 4:00pm and the drivers meeting is set for 7:15pm with hot laps to follow shortly thereafter. Adult grandstand admission will be $20.00, while kids ages 7-11 will be admitted into the stands for $15.00. A pit pass for adults will be $40.00, while kids ages 7-11 will be allowed into the pit area for $20.00. Children ages 6 and under are FREE in both the grandstands and the pits.

    Joining the ground-pounding Super Late Models in action during the ‘Sammy Cooper Classic’ will be the 604 Late Model, 602 Late Model, 602 Charger, Hobby, Open Wheel Modified, and Bomber divisions.     On Saturday at North Georgia, the pit gates will open at 2:00pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the storied facility an hour later at 3:00pm. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 5:00pm and racing action will start at 6:00pm. Adult grandstand admission will be $25.00, while kids ages 5-11 will be admitted into the stands for $15.00. A pit pass for adults will be $45.00, while kids ages 5-11 will be allowed into the pit area for $20.00. Children ages 4 and under are FREE in both the grandstands and the pits.

    Along with the Super Late Models on the season opening card will be the 604 Late Model, 602 Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Front Wheel Drive, Stock FWD, Pony, and Classic Vintage Series classes.     Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others.
