Thursday Night Thunder at North Georgia Speedway Shells Out $7,000 for Southern All Stars Tour
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Round four of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties schedule takes place on Thursday evening at North Georgia Speedway! Originally scheduled for Saturday, March 7, but postponed by rain until March 12, the ground-pounding Super Late Models will now race for a $7,000 first place prize. The latest series winner - Tucker Anderson - currently leads the point standings heading into Chatsworth, Georgia by twelve markers over Payton Freeman. Dalton Cook, Dillon Daves, and Kendall Franklin round out the top five in the current series point tally.
On Thursday at North Georgia, the pit gates will open at 2:00pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the storied facility an hour later at 3:00pm. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 5:00pm and racing action will start at 6:00pm. Adult grandstand admission will be $25.00, while kids ages 5-11 will be admitted into the stands for $15.00. A pit pass for adults will be $45.00, while kids ages 5-11 will be allowed into the pit area for $20.00. Children ages 4 and under are FREE in both the grandstands and the pits.
Along with the Super Late Models on the season opening card at North Georgia Speedway will be the 604 Late Model, 602 Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Front Wheel Drive, and Stock FWD classes. Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. Additional rules including engine and weight rules can be found online at www.sasdirt.com. The Super Late Model entry fee will be $120.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
