Spring Nationals Weekend Opener at Thunderhill Halted by Rain; $15,053 to win Finale STILL ON
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Shortly after the Super Late Model hot lap session concluded tonight at Thunderhill Raceway, the skies opened up and the $5,053 to win Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series program was rained out. Tomorrow's $15,053 to win weekend finale is STILL ON as scheduled. Times will be moved up an hour earlier tomorrow with hot laps now scheduled for 5:00pm CST.
If you bought a two-day arm band, you will receive a refund for tonight's rainout. If you bought a one-day arm band, you'll only pay the difference in price for tomorrow's show. If you can not make it back to the track on Saturday, please hold onto the band and it will be good for a race later this season.
A total of 18 Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series competitors were on the grounds tonight for the weekend opener before the rain hit the Summertown, Tennessee area: Tucker Anderson, Grayson Brewer, Matthew Brocato, Tanner English, Jadon Frame, Jack Franklin, Kendall Franklin, Payton Freeman, Walker Greer, Christian Hanger, Dillard Hatchett, Oakley Johns, John Minon, Josh Putnam, Dusty Quillen, Brayden Skinner, Brenden Smith, and Garrett Smith.

Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. Additional rules including engine and weight rules can be found online at www.southernnationalsseries.com. The Super Late Model entry fee will be $120.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
