    Red Clay 602 Late Model Series Rolls into Laurens County Speedway on April 18 for $2,500 to Win

    (BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Another exciting round of Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series action is on tap this Saturday night, April 18 at Laurens County Speedway! The second points race of the year for the tour will shell out a $2,500 first place prize on Saturday at the Laurens, South Carolina venue. The track known as “The Darlington of Dirt” hosted a single Red Clay 602 Late Model Series program last year and it was Luke Cooper emerging victorious in the 44th Annual ‘Shrine Race’ over runner-up Preston Dimsdale, David Smith, Wyatt Coffey, and Jasper Brown.

    The pit gate will open at 5:30pm on Saturday, while the grandstands will start to allow fans into the facility at 6:00pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6:45pm and hot laps will take to the track at 7:00pm. Joining the Red Clay 602 Late Model Series on the racing card will be the Stock 4 ($1,000 to win), Thunder Bomber ($500 to win), Front Wheel Drive ($400 to win), Crown Vic ($400 to win), and Southern Vintage Racing divisions.

    General admission will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids. Pit admission will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids. Laurens County Speedway is located at 435 Racetrack Road in Laurens, South Carolina.     The Red Clay 602 Late Model Series tire rule for Laurens County Speedway will be Left Front: Open, Left Rear & Right Front: American Racer Pro 2 (88.0 / 90.0), and Right Rear: American Racer Pro 2 or American Racer Pro 4 (92.0). The entry fee for the 602 Late Models will be $80.00 and transponders will be available to rent.
