Mark Fields Memorial Pays Out $5,026 to Win on Saturday, August 15 at Thunderhill Raceway
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Round twelve of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties schedule will take place this Saturday, August 15 at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee. The annual running of the ‘Mark Fields Memorial’ will take center stage on Saturday and the winner of the single-day shootout will receive a $5,026 first place prize.
Joining the Super Late Models on the racing card will be the 602 Late Model, CRUSA Modified, Mini Stock, Mod Lite, and SM4 Mini divisions. The pit gate will open at 4:30pm local time, while the grandstands will start to allow fans into the facility at 6:00pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6:30pm and hot laps will light up the racetrack at 7:00pm.
Grandstand admission for the ‘Mark Fields Memorial’ will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 6-12. Pit admission will be $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for kids ages 6-12. Children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. Thunderhill Raceway is located at 75 N. Old Military Road in Summertown, Tennessee. After eleven Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series events so far in 2026, there have been eight different winners - Brandon Overton (3 victories), Tucker Anderson (2 victories), Chris Madden, Trae Kirk, Bo Slay, Sam Seawright, Shane Clanton, and Michael Page. Anderson currently sits atop of the latest series point standings by 96 markers over Kendall Franklin. Dillon Daves, Billy Franklin, and Will Hicks sit third through fifth in the point tally heading into Thunderhill Raceway.
Super Late Model body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. Additional rules including engine and weight rules can be found online at www.sasdirt.com. The Super Late Model entry fee will be $120.00, while transponders will be available to rent.
