Tucker Anderson Captures Third Southern All Stars Win of Season in Brad York Memorial

(LAVONIA, GEORGIA) Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties point leader Tucker Anderson secured his third series victory of the 2026 campaign on Friday night in the annual ‘Brad York Memorial’ at Lavonia Speedway! Tucker, who laid down the second quickest lap in Group A during qualifying, rolled off from the inside of the second row at the outset of the 40-lap feature event. The Blairsville, Georgia ace then grabbed the top spot from polesitter Trent Ivey on the third circuit and never looked back.

Tucker won by a margin of 2.772 seconds to capture the $5,004 first place prize money at the Lavonia, Georgia oval. Finishing a strong runner-up was outside polesitter Kenny Collins, who topped Group B during the qualifying session. Fast Timer Trent Ivey rounded out the podium in the ‘Brad York Memorial’ by finishing in the third spot. SAS regular Kendall Franklin stormed past a handful of competitors to place fourth at the checkers, while Josh Putnam turned in a solid fifth place performance.

“We put (the car) back together and she’s just pretty good,” the victorious Anderson said following the race at Lavonia. “This thing was basically a frame starting Monday and we worked all week, and worked late every night. I went to qualify and something happened to my carburetor. My motor wouldn't run, so I was pretty frustrated. I just knew we had to put our heads down and work right there.”

Tucker Anderson’s winning #22 Longhorn Chassis was powered by a Cornett Racing Engine with sponsorship in part from Beaverdam Trucking, Vinson Sims Construction, T&S Transportation, Equiplinc Auction Group, Interstate Welding and Steel Supply, Recovery Specialists of North Georgia, Sage Coleman Financial, Bilstein Shocks, Rumley Engineering, Diamond Coatings, Mountain Water Works, SRI Performance, Gambler Performance, VP Racing Fuels, Collins Signs, and Hoosier Racing Tire.

A total of 18 SAS competitors were on hand on Friday at Lavonia Speedway for the annual running of the ‘Brad York Memorial.’ Zack Mitchell stopped the clock fastest during MRP Fantasy Racing hot laps, while Trent Ivey turned up the wick and knocked down the quickest lap overall during VP Racing Fuels qualifying. Only two caution flags slowed the pace during the headliner, which saw seven starters complete all forty laps.
