Kaede Loudy Elevated to Buddy Rogers Memorial Win at Tazewell Speedway

(TAZEWELL, TENNESSEE) The 19th edition of the ‘Buddy Rogers Memorial’ took place on Sunday night in front of a great crowd at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway and it was Kaede Loudy that eventually celebrated in victory lane! Kaede, who had earned Fast Time honors earlier in the evening during qualifying, led the opening ten laps of the contest from the pole position. After 44 green flag circuits, Kaede crossed underneath the checkered flag in the runner-up spot, but was elevated to the win after apparent victor Forrest Trent failed postrace technical inspection for deck height.

The unfortunate turn of events for Trent handed Loudy his first career Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series victory, which was worth $5,044. Cruz Skinner, eighth-starting David Payne, and ninth-starting Billy Franklin were all elevated to finishing positions two through four, while Forrest Trent was dropped to a fifth place effort. Apparent third place finisher Brandon Williams was also penalized during postrace tech for deck height and was relegated to a ninth place showing.

"That's definitely not how I wanted to win my first one,” quoted Loudy in victory lane at the storied Tazewell, Tennessee facility. “Me and Forrest (Trent) are really good buddies. He hasn't raced in like six months and he asked me to come help him. I used to crew for him. I got his car ready for him and I didn't check (the deck height) and I guess nobody else did either. I hate that for him. He had a really good car, but luck's not been on our side a lot and I guess tonight it was."

Kaede Loudy’s winning National 100 pre-entry list - east ...ov 11-14, 2010 MasterSbilt racecar was sponsored in part by Bush Forestry, Bruce Miller Masonry, JB’s Salvage, Bigfoot Enterprise, Envy Suspension, PPM Racing Products, Base Racing Fuels, Penske Racing Shocks, Capital Signs, STI, and Spare ECM.

A total of 18 competitors piled into the Tazewell Speedway pit area for round sixteen of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties schedule. Defending race winner Travis Fultz laid down the quickest lap overall during MRP Fantasy Racing hot laps with a time of 11.214 seconds, while Kaede Loudy topped the speed chart during VP Racing Fuels qualifying with a fast time of 11.399 seconds. The top five qualifiers from each group were locked into the 44-lap ‘Buddy Rogers Memorial’ headliner, while Kendall Franklin won the lone J&J Construction B-Main.

Next up on the SAS calendar will be a lucrative tripleheader in the states of Tennessee and Kentucky from September 17-19. Up first will be a stop at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on that Thursday for the ‘Scott Bloomquist Memorial Scorcher,’ which will shell out a $12,018 winner’s check. A pair of $5,000 paydays will then be up for grabs on Friday at Hidden Hollow Speedway in Colson, Kentucky and on Saturday at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
