Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series Slated to Invade I-75 Raceway on Saturday for $5,000 Event
(SWEETWATER, TENNESSEE) Round eighteen of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties season is set to take place on Saturday, September 19 at I-75 Raceway! The lone series visit of the year to the Sweetwater, Tennessee facility will pay $5,000 to the winner of the Super Late Model special. Garrett Smith, of Madison, Georgia, is the defending race winner, as he secured the $5,000 first place prize money last year over Cory Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word), Clay Harris, Camaron Marlar, and Kaede Loudy.
The action at I-75 Raceway will officially get underway on Friday, September 18 with an open practice session. The gates will open at 5:00pm with the practice session taking place from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Grandstand admission will be free, while pit admission will be $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 6-11. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted for free into the pit area.
The driver who lays down the fastest lap overall during Super Late Model practice will receive a $300 bonus, while the second fastest lap for the Supers will pay out a $200 bonus. All other classes will receive $100 for the fastest lap of the night during the open practice session.
Joining the SAS Super Late Models on the racing card on Saturday will be the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series ($2,000 to win), Street Stocks ($1,000 to win), Front Wheel Drives ($400 to win), Mod-Minis ($350 to win), Thunder ($300 to win), and B-Sportsman ($200 to win). The pit gates and tier parking will open at 3:00pm, while the grandstands will start to allow fans into the venue at 4:00pm. The drivers meeting is set for 6:30pm and hot laps will take to the racetrack at 7:00pm.
Grandstand admission will be $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 6-11. Admission into tier parking will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 6-11. A pit pass will be $45.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids ages 6-11. Children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. After sixteen Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series shows so far in 2026, there have been twelve different winners - Brandon Overton (3 victories), Tucker Anderson (3 victories), Chris Madden, Trae Kirk, Bo Slay, Sam Seawright, Shane Clanton, Michael Page, Jadon Frame, Zack Mitchell, Garrett Smith, and Kaede Loudy. Anderson currently sits atop of the SAS point standings by 132 markers over Kendall Franklin.
