Saturday’s Dixie Speedway Event Doomed by Tropical Storm Isaias; Tarheel Race STILL ON
(WOODSTOCK, GEORGIA) The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Showtime Properties was scheduled to invade the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday, October 10 for the $10,000 to win ‘Dixie Nationals.’ Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Isaias, which is set to become a hurricane this week, is bearing down on the Gulf Coast and the Southeast. With almost a certainty of heavy rainfall on Saturday, officials have canceled the Super Late Model event on the red clay.
With no rain date available, the SAS tour looks forward to working with Dixie Speedway again in 2027. Friday’s 22nd Annual ‘Tarheel Race’ at North Georgia Speedway is STILL ON as scheduled. The Chatsworth, Georgia venue will play host to the ‘Tarheel Race’ for the very first time and a $6,000 paycheck awaits the winner of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series special.
