Paducah International Raceway to Host the USA World 50 on Friday, August 24th
Paducah, KY- August 15, 2012- The countdown is on for Paducah International Raceway’s prime attraction- the USA World 50- on Friday, August 24th in a MARS vs. UMP Challenge with a $5,000 Grand Prize. See 2011 Race Winner Shannon Babb defend his Victory over MARS Dirt Series favorites including Tony Jackson, Jr., Justin Asplin, Leroy Johnson, current points leader Jesse Stovall, and 2011 Champion Brad Looney in side-by-side action with UMP favorites including Terry English, Randy Sellars, Tanner English, current points leader Tim Brown, and three-time Track Champion Kevin Cole.
Pit Gates open at 4:00 PM. Grandstands open at 5:00 PM. Hot Laps are at 6:30 PM. Qualifying is at 7:00 PM, with Racing at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20 for Adults. Children 12 and under are $5. Pit Admission is $30. The Super Late Models, Pro (Crate) Late Models, Modifieds, and Street Stocks will also be in action.
The inaugural USA World 50 was held in 1978. Former race winners include Jerry Inman, Tom Helfrich, Larry Moore, Russ Petro, Phil Gregory, NASCAR veteran Jeff Purvis, and former UMP National Champion Terry English.
2012 marks Paducah International Raceway’s seventh year with the current NASCAR driver owners. Join PIR every week for Friday Night Racing at its best.
