There will also be two other traveling classes running with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print at theis years Floyd Reynolds Memorial at Aztec Speedway on September 1st & 2nd.

The ASCS 360 Winged Sprint Cars and the NMMRA Non-Wing Sprint Cars will be racing both nights. It will pay $1,000 to win and $200 to start both nights for both classes of sprint cars.

This means that Aztec Speedway will be paying three classes atleast $1,000 to win both nights!!!!

The hottest driver lately with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series Presented by Indy Screen Print, 2011 Series Champion, Scott Lewis, of Henderson, CO will be making the trip to Aztec Speedway to race with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print at the Floyd Reynolds Memorial on September 1st & 2nd.

Lewis has driven his #99 Mastersbilt by Mars car to a win at 3 of the last 9 CLMA DIRTcar Series races this year and he missed two of those races. He won at Sweetwater Speedway, El Paso Speedway Park, and Southern New Mexico Speedway. He also has two 2nds and one 3rd durring that 9 race stretch.

Lewis is currently sitting in 2nd place in both the CLMA DIRTcar Northern and Southern Series. He is 3 points behind Garrett Alberson, of Las Cruces, NM in the Southern Series and 35 points behind Jason Schierkolk, of Casper, WY in the Northern Series

2011 Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series Rookie of the Year Garrett Alberson, from Las Cruces, NM will be making the trip to Aztec Speedway to race with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print on September 1st & 2nd.

Garrett won at Aztec Speedway on June 9th, the last time that the series was at the track. He also picked up his 1st career win on the series at Aztec Speedway in 2011 so the track has become one of his favorite places to race. Garrett will be one of the favorites when the CLMA DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print comes into town next weekend.

Garrett has also won this year at Thomas County Speedway in Colby, KS and is leading the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print by 3 points over 2011 series champion Scott Lewis.

Also, making the trip with Garrett will be his car owner Dave Deetz of Las Cruces, NM. Dave is currently 3rd in Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print points, 161 points behind Garrett. Dave has two 5th place finishes this year with the CLMA DIRTcar Southern Series at Thomas County Speedway and El Paso Speedway Park and will be looking to pick up his first career win with the series next weekend.

When the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen print races at Aztec Speedway on September 1st & 2nd there will be two pretty good modified drivers that well be driving late models.

Bumper Jones of Las Cruces, NM will be driving Steve Lewis's #19 Mastersbilt. Steve finished 3rd in this car when the CLMA races at El Paso Speedway Park on August 17th. In two starts with the CLMA DIRTcar Series in 2011 Bumper Jones has 1 win at Southern New Mexico Speedway and a 5th place finish at El Paso Speedway Park.

John Hansen of Ft. Morgan, CO will be making his first career start in a late model driving Dave Garmann's back up car. He will be in the #10 Rocket. John is current leading the points on the BST Modified Western Series and has several wins this season.

The drivers with 4th and 5th most career wins with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series Presented by Indy Screen Print should be racing with the series when it returns to Atzec Speedway for the Floyd Reynolds Memorial on September 1st & 2nd.

Dean Moore of Grand Junction, CO is 4th on the all time CLMA DIRTcar Series wins list with 10 wins. He picked up his last win with the series this year at Sweatwater Speedway. This year has also finsihed 2nd at Sweetwater Speedway, 3rd at Aztec Speedway, and 4th at Aztec Speedway with the CLMA DIRTcar Series.

Jeep Berry of Grand Junction, CO is 5th on the all time CLMA DIRTcar Series wins list with 8. The last two wins that he has picked up with the series have been at Aztec Speedway so he should be a threat to win this weekend. He won at Aztec Speedway on June 8th and in 2011 with the CLMA DIRTcar Series.

I just wanted to let anyone that will be racing with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print this weekend at the Floyd Reynolds Memorial at Aztec Speedway on September 1st & 2nd know that there are a handfull of items that will be teched for sure sometime this weekend so everyone should make sure that these items are correct on their cars. Not sure when we will do it but the top 4 cars in each heat race, all cars that transfer from B-Mains, and the top 5 cars in A-Main will be teched each night so it will be during one of those times. So if you you think that your car may be pushing the limits in one of these areas this is your chance to make sure that it is corrected before this weekend.

- All cars must be running Hoosier D55 tires
- All cars must be no less then 2300 pounds
- Spoilers must be no taller then 8" or any wider then 72"
- Engine Set Back: The back of the engine block may be no more then 25 1/2" from the center of the ball joint to the motor plate.
- Wheel Base - No less then 103"

Just wanted to let any of the late model teams that will be coming to the Flod Reynolds Memorial at Aztec Speedway on September 1st & 2nd to race with Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series Presented by Indy Screen Print know that there will be a hand full of Hoosier D55 tires for sale. There will also be race fule and methonal available at the track, but I am not sure what octain the race fuel is.

A couple of more drivers that have been having their best years ever with the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series will be making the trip to Aztec Speedway for the Floyd Reynolds Memorial on September 1st & 2nd.

Kyle Hill of Buena Vista, CO is currently running 4th in Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print points and is currently 176 points behind points leader Garrett Alberson. Kyle has been at all of the Southern Series races except for the Las Vegas race and will be looking for his first top 5 of the season in his #47 GRT.

Jeff Whyman of Los Lunas, NM will also be bringing his #72 late model to Aztec Speedway this weekend. Jeff is currently in 5th place in points only 5 points behind Kyle Hill and 181 points behind points leader Garrett Alberson. After a career best finish of 2nd with the CLMA DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print a couple of weeks ago at El Paso Speedway Park, Jeff will be looking for his first career win with the series this weekend in Aztec.

Two local drivers from Aztec, NM will be giving the regulars on the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print a run for their money when the series comes to Aztec Speedway on September 1st & 2nd for the Floyd Reynolds Memorial.

Garrett Higgins of Aztec, NM is currently sitting 9th in Southern Series points, 221 points behind points leader Garrett Alberson. He has 3 top 5 finishes in 2012 with his career best with series a 3rd at Aztec Speedway last June. Garrett has had a chance to win several races with the CLMA DIRTcar Series the last two years, but has had mechanical problems take him out of the race. He will be one of the favorites to pick up a win at Aztec Speedway this weekend.

Another local driver from Aztec, NM that will by a favorite to win this weekend will be Jeff Davis. Jeff has won several weekly late model races at Aztec Speedway the past few years and has a career best finish of 2nd in 2011 with the CLMA DIRTcar Series at the track.
