NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man's Garage WRS Round Up for April 22

CARTERSVILLE, GA – There is a new point leader in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Series point standings after Week 4 competition. Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, MS was the winner on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA driving the Reynolds Motorsports/Billy Riels Racing GRT and with 194 points to take over the point lead.

The “Hattiesburg Hustler” has two wins on the season with five top five finishes and six top ten finishes in six starts. The Billy Riels Racing Team now has three of the top six drivers in the current NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series point standings.

Three-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS dropped to the second spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 191 points. Keeton finished fifth on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway driving the Lee Racing Trak-Star. Keeton has five top five finishes and six top ten finishes in six starts.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is tied for third in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 186 points after a second-place finish at St. Tammany Raceway driving the Billy Riels Racing GRT. “The General” has one win, 5 top five finishes and six top ten finishes in six starts.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS shares the third spot with Lee at 186 points in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings. The “Florence Flash” has one win, two top five finishes, and four top ten finishes in four starts driving the Villa South Trak-Star.

That misfortune dropped Trosclair to the fifth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 183 points. Trosclair has one win and five top five finishes in six starts. McRee went on to win the main event at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the HRRC Special for his second victory of the season.

Noah Daspit of Kiln, MS is the newest member of the Billy Riels Racing Team, and a third-place finish on Saturday night at St. Tammany Raceway in the Billy Riels Racing Trak-Star has him sitting sixth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 180 points. Daspit has four top five finishes in four starts.

Derrick Mackmer of Purvis, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series standings with 176 points. Mackmer has two top five finishes and five top ten finishes in six starts driving the Mackmer Home Buyers Special. Al Kouhout of Hattiesburg, MS is eighth with 168 points after three top ten finishes in four starts driving the Quick Lane Tune Special.

Montana Dudley of Phenix City, AL took his second straight NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Late Model win of the season on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL driving the Zaxby’s Rocket. Dudley is ninth in the standings with 149 points after two wins and three top five finishes in three starts.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 4 action on Saturday night, Chad Williams of Lake City, AR took his first win of the season at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO driving the Williams Auto Sales Trak-Star.

Tait Davenport of Benton, KY was a first-time winner at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN driving the Murtco, Inc. Special. Chris Holley of Houston, TX picked his second NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series win of the season at Battleground Speedway in Highland, TX driving the Delta Flange Special.

NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Week 4 Friday night events at Hattiesburg Motorsport Park in Hattiesburg, MS and at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL were rained out.

Williams gave Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL its sixth win of the season and they lead the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge standings in quest of their third title. Four-time and defending champion GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR is second with four wins after Arnold’s Week 4 victory.
