    NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Round Up For June 3

    CARTERSVILLE, GA – There is a new point leader in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings after Week 10 competition. Kevin Spears of Fayette, AL now holds a one point lead over Trey Bright of Coker, AL. Dave Nations of Raymond, MS is in the third spot, just nine points out of first-place.

    Spears drove the Bass Sports Online.com Chevrolet powered by a $3,195 Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine to a second-place finish on Saturday night at Moulton Speedway in Moulton, AL to bring his point total up to 437 points. Bright finished fifth on Friday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS in the AKA Cores Chevrolet, and now has 436 points.

    Spears has four wins, nine top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in ten races. Bright has five wins, nine top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 11 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division races.

    Nations finished third on Friday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in the Street Stock Set Up Specialists Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine to bring his NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point total to 428. Nations has one win, seven top five finishes and nine top ten finishes in ten starts.

    Chad Hiers of Ocean Springs, MS is fourth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 379 points. Hiers has six top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in 10 starts in the Hiers Construction Chevrolet. Wayne Medders of Morton, MS is fifth with 358 points after three top five finishes and eight top ten finishes in 11 races driving the Medders Construction Chevrolet.

    Medders finished eighth on Friday night at Whynot Motorsports Park. Stacy Herron of Kiln, MS is sixth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standing with 348 points after one win, six top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in nine starts driving the S&B Contracting Chevrolet.

    Brandon Leftwich of Meridian, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 337 points after a fourth-place finish on Friday night at Whynot Motorsports Park driving the American Portable Buildings Chevrolet powered by a Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine. Leftwich has four top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in eight races.

    Eddie Willis of Saucier, MS is eighth in the standings with 298 points after one win, five top five finishes and eight top ten finishes in eight starts in the Willis Racing Chevrolet. Jerrod Fremin of Montz, LA is ninth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 295 points after one win, four top five finishes and six top ten finishes in seven starts driving the Fremin Racing Chevrolet.

    Roger Flynn of Denham Springs, LA took his sixth win in six starts on Friday night at Whynot Motorsports Park to remain “Mr. Perfect” in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division driving the Flynn Racing Chevrolet. That came to an end on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS where he finished fifth in his seventh start. Flynn is tenth in the standings with 290 points.

    In other NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 10 Saturday night action, Jeff Butler of Mendenhall, MS topped a 35-car field to win the $1,000 top prize in the Mississippi Street Stock Series race at Jackson Motor Speedway driving the B&B Racing Chevrolet powered by a $3,195 Chevrolet Performance 602 Crate Engine.

    Bill Pulliam was a first-time winner at St. Tammany Raceway in Lacombe, LA. A total of 161 different drivers have earned points in the first nine weeks of NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division competition.
