Spring Nationals for Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Rescheduled to April 5

Glasgow, KY- March 28, 2014- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series was notified earlier today that the Spring Nationals presented by East Tennessee Auto Outlet event scheduled at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN has been postponed and rescheduled to Saturday April 5. The event will still be 35 laps in distance and pay the winner $3,000 and pay $225 to start.

Track officials and series officials concluded that with the forecast for rain for much of the East Tennessee region on Saturday, it would be in the best interest of the traveling race teams and race fans to postpone the event due to the possibility of inclement weather, so the event will now take place on Saturday April 5.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday April 5 in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 35 lap, $3,000 to win Spring Nationals presented by East Tennessee Auto Outlet A-Main. The drivers meeting will be at 6:00 p.m., with practice set to begin immediately following the drivers meeting.
