    AUSTIN HUBBARD TO WHEEL BEITLER’S LATE MODEL AT GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY’S SPRING FLING

    GEORGETOWN, DE (March 29, 2011) – Due to weather conditions in the Midwest, Austin Hubbard has changed his race schedule and will be competing on Saturday, April 2 at Georgetown Speedway’s Spring Fling 2011. Hubbard, the World of Outlaws Late Model standout, will be wheeling the Super Late Model owned by Dale Beitler. Hubbard will be chasing the $2500 first place check along with other expected Super Late Model participants such as Ricky Elliott, David Pettyjohn, Kenny Pettyjohn and Donald Lingo.
    The four-division opening day card will include the Bridgeport Modifieds. The victor of the Bridgeport Modified feature event will take home $1,200 if the number of entries in the Bridgeport Modified class exceeds thirty. If the car count in the Bridgeport Modified class is thirty or under, the winner will receive $1,000. The Crate Late Models and the Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Car club will be in competition as well. Several racing legends from the state of Delaware will be signing autographs during intermission.

    On Saturday, April 2, pit gates open at 2:00 PM and spectators can enter the grandstand area at 3:00 PM. Hot laps will start at 4:00 PM. General grandstand admission tickets are $20 with children 12 and under admitted for free. Admission to the pit area is $35.

    Georgetown Speedway is a 1/2 mile dirt oval located on the northbound side of U.S. Route 113, just 35 miles south of Dover, Delaware, a 45-minute drive from Ocean City, Maryland, and easily accessible from Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
