Mason Zeigler Pilots New Bob Pierce Car to Eldora Checkers
Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania (10/03/16) – Mason Zeigler parked his brand-new GottaRace.com #25z Bob Pierce Race Car/ Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model in victory lane in the wee hours of Sunday morning at Eldora Speedway.
“It was an unbelievably long night, but his was a great way to debut a new race car,†said Zeigler. “I hated to see Bobby [Pierce] have bad luck while leading. I’ve been there and definitely know how bad that feels. However, it felt awesome to win in this brand-new Bob Pierce Platinum Race Car. Debuting his brand-new Bob Pierce Platinum #25z Super Late Model, Mason Zeigler headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Saturday night for the UMP DIRTcar Fall Nationals. With 36 Super Late Models registered for the Sunoco American Late Model Series (AMLS) sanctioned event, Zeigler started the night off with a heat race win, securing his position in the main event.
Mason led the opening laps of the feature before Bobby Pierce took over on lap 6. Pierce led until lap 22, when he had a flat tire, which allowed Zeigler to retake the lead. Mason would next encounter a challenge from Mother Nature, when rain began to drench Eldora Speedway with 14 laps remaining. After a seven-hour, rain delay the race finally resumed, and Zeigler led the final circuits to take the checkered flag on at 3:52 a.m. eastern standard time.
Mason captured his fourth win of the season over Brian Ruhlman, Duane Chamberlain, Mike Spatola, and Casey Noonan. Zeigler was awarded a $5,000 payday for his triumph in the 40-lap feature.

Zeigler will now look to claim the biggest win of his career this weekend as he returns to his home state to compete in the annual Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pennsylvania).
