Seaford, Delaware (05/30/17) – Austin Hubbard debuted a brand-new Mid-Coastal Siding #11 Trinity Logistics/ Rocket XR1 Chassis/ Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model on Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway, and he capitalized on the moment by picking up the $3,000 victory.

“Man, this new Rocket XR1 was awesome right out of the box,” said Hubbard. “You don’t usually expect to win in the first night out with a new car because there’s typically a few bugs to work out. However, we were fast off the trailer, and luckily I was able to grab the lead late in the race and get the win. I want to thank Mid-Coastal Siding, Salisbury Door and Hardware, Trinity Logistics, and all of my awesome sponsors for their support.”

On Friday night Austin Hubbard kicked off his Memorial Day Weekend at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) with the unsanctioned Johnny Grum Tribute Race. Battling for a $4,000 payday in the 40-lap A-Main, Hubbard dropped back in the late stages of the feature posting a 19th-place outing.

After a disappointing outing one night earlier, the team broke out a brand-new Rocket XR1 Chassis Super Late Model on Saturday, as they invaded Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) to compete in the Fallen Heroes Championship.

Earning the 4th-starting spot for the A-Main via preliminary events, Hubbard slipped past race leader Coleby Frye in the closing laps of the finale to pick up his second win of the year. Frye, Jeff Rine, Matt Cosner, and Andy Haus completed the Top 5. Austin pocketed a $3,000 payday for his victory in the 30-lap affair.
