Logan Roberson Pockets Pair of Podiums; Busy Holiday Weekend Next
Waynesboro, Virginia (06/28/17) – Logan Roberson enjoyed a solid weekend in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 Rocketman Racing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Crate Late Model. The 19-year-old registered a pair of podium finishes.
On Friday night Logan Roberson made his season debut at Dixieland Speedway (Elizabeth City, North Carolina), competing in a field of 12 Budweiser All Star Late Models. Earning the 3rd-starting position for the feature via preliminary events, Roberson jumped up one spot to finish 2nd behind Billy Hubbard.
Saturday night brought Roberson to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) for the RUSH Crate Late Model sanctioned program. Starting in the 8th position for the A-Main, Logan charged through the field five spots reeling in a 3rd-place finish behind Allan Brannon and Kris Eaton with Mike Franklin and Scott Sweeney completing the Top-5 finishers.
With the weekend performances Logan now has seven Top-5 finishes and eight Top-10 finishes in last eight events.
“We’ve been real consistent, we just haven’t been able to break through into Victory Lane for the past month or so,†Roberson said. “Hopefully we can knock down at least one or two wins during the upcoming weekend.â€

The upcoming weekend will find the team entering a trio of events. Action kicks off on Friday night at Natural Bridge Speedway (Natural Bridge, Virginia). Saturday evening will take the team back to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), while Logan’s weekend will draw to a close on Monday night at Potomac Speedway (Potomac, Maryland).
