Ray Cook Slated for Weekend Off Following Shortened Trip to Senoia
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The Wynn Motorsports team and driver Ray Cook rolled into Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on October 27-28 for the 2nd Annual 'Showdown at Senoia.' On Friday night in the $3,000 to win unsanctioned opener, Ray qualified ninth fastest in his group during the time trial session before placing second in his consolation race. After starting the 30-lapper from the inside of the eighth row, Ray wound up sixteenth in the final finishing order of the caution-free affair.
Saturday's weekend finale at the "gray gumbo," which was to be sanctioned by the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series and pay $10,000 to the winner,' was unfortunately wiped out by heavy rain showers. Full results from the shortened weekend at Senoia can be obtained by clicking on www.senoiaraceway.com.
The #53 team is now scheduled to sit idle over the upcoming November 3-4 weekend, but they plan on racing somewhere on November 10-11. The location of where they will sling dirt next has not been decided yet; however. As soon as a decision is made, you can find out first by logging onto www.raycook53.com.
Wynn Motorsports would like to thank the following group of sponsors for their continued support: Wynn Land Development, Dublin Winwater, Heartland EMS, Keyser Manufacturing, Capital Race Cars, Andy Durham Racing Engines, Modern Images, Schaeffer’s Racing Oil, Sunoco Race Fuels, American Racer South, GW Performance, Performance Friction Brakes, FK Rod Ends, Outlaw Racing Products, The Joie of Seating, PPM Racing Products, Wiles Driveshafts, and Delph Communications.
