Tyler Erb Turns Up the Heat for Jackson Checkers
Resumes WoO Title Pursuit this Weekend in Illinois
New Waverly, Texas (03/19/18) – For the first time on American soil in 2018 Tyler Erb visited Victory Lane in his First Class Septic #91 New Point Lighting and Design/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Clements Racing Engines Inc. Super Late Model.
The victory was worth $2,500 and came at Jackson Motor Speedway.
Tallied with his Australian triumphs he pushed his 2018-win tally to four.
“The rain from last night made the track really challenging, but hats off to the track and series for getting the event in,†Erb said. “This Rocket Chassis and Clements Racing Engine were on point tonight. Thanks to all of my crew, fans and sponsors for their support. We’re now focused on getting back to action with the World of Outlaws and having a big year with them.â€
On Saturday night Tyler Erb traveled to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) to take part in the 2018-season opener for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS).
With 21 entries on hand, Erb started his night setting fast honors in qualifying to earn the pole position for the feature. In the finale Erb led all 40 circuits to cruise to his fourth win of the season in the feature, topping Tommy Surrett, Chad Thrash, Clay Fisher, and Dean Carpenter at the finish line.
Tyler was awarded a $2,500 payday for his dominant performance in the 40-lap A-Main.

The upcoming weekend – March 23-24 – has Tyler headed to the Land of Lincoln to compete in the Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois). Friday night’s program includes a $6,000-to-win finale, while Saturday will post a $15,000 winner’s check. The weekend is sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series.
