Austin Hubbard Hustles to Top-10 Finish at VMS
Four-Race Week on Tap for the Delaware Destroyer

Seaford, Delaware (04/17/18) – Austin Hubbard took his Mid-Coastal Siding #11 Trinity Logistics/ Rocket XR1 Chassis/ Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model to a Top-10 finish on Saturday night during the annual Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway.

“Overall it was a pretty good night at VMS, and I was pleased with our finish,” Hubbard said. “With all of the rainouts over the weekend that field became insanely good. We’ve only run one race since Speedweeks so to know we line up with many of the best in the sport right now gives us a lot of confidence in our team moving forward. We have a busy week of racing in front of us, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Austin Hubbard returned to competition with the ULTIMATE Northeast Series on Saturday evening at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) with the annual Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth.
Drawing a stout field of 56 Super Late Models, Hubbard recorded the third-fastest time in his qualifying group before picking up an 8-lap heat race victory. Earning the fifth-starting position for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Austin battled in the Top 10 throughout the 60-lap affair before ultimately landing a solid sixth-place finish.
