Gavin Landers Bags Pair of Top-5 Finishes in CCSDS Competition
Show Me 100 Up Next for Arkansas Traveler

Batesville, Arkansas (05/16/18) – Gavin Landers drove his Crop Production Services #77 ASC Warranty/ Longhorn Race Car/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model to a pair of Top-5 finishes over the weekend in action with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS).

“We had a good weekend, but honestly I think I left some on the table,” Landers said. “Friday night at Greenville Speedway we started on the front row but missed the setup a little. Then on Saturday night at Magnolia I dug us a bit of a hole to start the night. If I can do better, the wins are going to start coming for our team because my guys are working their tails off. I want to thank them and all of our great marketing partners.”

Following the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Gavin Landers invaded Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Friday night, competing in a field of 22 Super Late Models.

Improving three spots in his heat race, Landers streaked to an 8-lap heat race victory, positioning him second on the starting grid for the opening night feature. Gavin slipped back to as far as 10th early in the feature before rebounding late to a fifth-place finish, trailing Brian Rickman, Ashley Newman, Tanner Kellick, and Hunter Rasdon at the checkered flag.

On Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi), Gavin locked his spot into the $2,500-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat race. Rolling off ninth for the feature, Landers advanced through the field seven positions to place second behind B.J. Robinson with Chandler Petty, Spencer Hughes, and Shay Knight completing the Top-5 finishers.

Gavin currently sits seventh in the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series point standings. For more results from these events, please visit www.COMPDirt.com .

Next up for the 21-year-old racer is a trip to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the annual Show Me 100. The event – which will be held on May 24-26 – will be co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA).

A $6,000-to-win feature will be held on Thursday and Friday evening, while Saturday night will see a $30,000 top prize on the line.
