Shane Clanton Finishes Fourth in Inaugural First in Flight 100
WoO Double Header at Atomic Up Next
Zebulon, Georgia (05/16/18) – Shane Clanton’s consistency continued over the weekend in his Weldbank Energy #25 Super K Express/ Capital Race Cars/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.
The driver – who is known as “The Georgia Bulldog†– hasn’t finished outside of the Top 10 in his last seven events. In those finishes he’s had four Top-5 finishes, including a trio of runner-up performances. At Fayetteville Motor Speedway – during the First in Flight 100 – he crossed the finish line in the fourth position.
“We’re out here to win races, and right now we’re falling a little short of that goal, but I know that if we keep running consistent like this that the wins will come,†Clanton commented. “To start where we did, and finish where we did at Fayetteville was a solid performance for us. If we could’ve started the weekend a little better, we might’ve had a shot at the win. But that’s the way it goes, so we’ll move onto the next one.â€
