Austin Theiss Bests Louisiana Late Model Series at Boothill Speedway
Hockley, Texas (05/30/18) – Austin Theiss took his Hass Horizontal #7D Saye Plumbing Contractors/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Vic Hill Race Engine Super Late Model to Victory Lane on Saturday night with the Louisiana Late Model Series at Boothill Speedway.
The win was his second of 2018 and was worth $1,500.
“Words can’t begin to describe how much our team needed this win,†Theiss said. “It seems like we’ve had two or three races won in the past month or so only to have bad luck strike before the end of the race. It all starts to weigh on your confidence, but tonight we put it altogether. I just want to thank my family, my crew, my sponsors, and all of my fans for their awesome support.â€
Austin Theiss invaded Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday night for the Louisiana Late Model Series-sanctioned Memorial Day Shootout. Gaining one spot in his heat race, Theiss landed a runner-up finish behind Rick Duke Jr. which positioned him third on the starting grid for the feature.
Overtaking Robbie Stuart for the lead near the halfway mark of the 30-lapper, Austin held the field at bay throughout the remaining circuits to pick up his second win of the season and a $1,500 payday. Ronny Adams, Chad Dupont, Rob Litton, and Rick Duke Jr. completed the Top-5 finishers.

Austin will enter a single event this weekend as he makes the trip to 105 Speedway (Cleveland, Texas) to compete with the Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS).
