Ricky Weiss Streaks to Stock Car Stampede Triumph at Jamestown
Backs It Up by Cashing in at Casino Speedway on Sunday
Headingley, Manitoba, Canada (09/17/18) – Another weekend and another pair of wins for Ricky Weiss. The Canadian racer’s latest conquests in his Derrick’s Sandblasting #7w Sweet-Bloomquist Race Car/ Vic Hill Race Engine Late Model came on Saturday at Jamestown Speedway in the 47th annual Stock Car Stampede and again on Sunday in the annual Autumn Classic at Casino Speedway.
His dominant weekend pushed his 2018-win tally to 23.
“Just wow, that’s about all I can say about this team and our season,†Weiss said. “It just feels like right now we are competing at a top level and we have some luck on our side as well. There on Saturday night (Dustin) Strand was kind of a sitting duck as the leader in heavy lapped traffic. I hoped it would stay green because it’s hard to figure out where you need to be as the leader in that situation. Our car was really maneuverable, and we were able to capitalize to get the win and backed it up with another win on Sunday at Casino Speedway.
“It’s just surreal right now how we are crossing all of these bucket list wins off our list. A lot of the credit goes to my team and my crew for all of their hard work. Thanks to my family, friends, and fans for supporting me each and every night.â€
Friday night found Ricky Weiss in action at Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota) for the 47th annual Stock Car Stampede. With 25 Super Late Models on hand for the two-day event, Weiss improved six spots in his heat race to pick up the win.
