Jimmy Elliott Clinches 2018 UCRA Championship
Cleveland, Tennessee (11/06/18) – On Saturday night Jimmy Elliott officially clinched the 2018 United Championship Racing Alliance championship with a fifth-place finish at North Carolina’s Tri County Race Track. The accomplishment came behind the wheel of his Car Smart Auto Sales #J39 Elliott’s Tire Center/ Mighty Muffler/ Longhorn Race Car.
The UCRA championship is now added to the the Durrence Layne Winter Touring Series title that Elliott earned earlier this season.
“All that I can say is that I am very blessed to have so many people behind me 100%,†an elated Elliott commented. “First, I want to thank my wife and kids for all of their support and understanding all of these long nights at the shop. I want to thank my mom and dad for everything they do for me and letting me live my dreams.
“I want to thank Cody Judd and Daniel Lee for all of their help throughout the week and on race nights. I also want to thank Josh Doan and Sean Truelove for their help when their schedules allow. I’ve got so many great people and sponsors around me, and that’s the reason I was able to get this championship.â€
Saturday night found Jimmy Elliott in action at Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, North Carolina), where he was competing in the United Championship Racing Alliance (UCRA) season finale.
Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the $2,500-to-win A-Main, Elliott crossed the finish line in the fifth position behind Chip Brindle, Ethan Hunter, Jason Deal, and Michael Courtney to the checkers.
With his performance over the weekend, Jimmy Elliott officially captured the UCRA points title.

Jimmy is tentatively scheduled to return to action on Saturday, November 17 at Boyd’s Speedway in the annual Gobbler/ Joe Lee Johnson Memorial.
