Kent Robinson Finds Victory Lane in FALS Cup Opener
Farmer City Raceway and Fairbury Speedway MARS Double Shot on Tap
Bloomington, Indiana (05/06/19) – Kent Robinson wired the field at Fairbury Speedway on Saturday night to snare the $2,500 top prize in the inaugural FALS Cup event. The victory came aboard his JB’s Disposal Services #7r MB Customs/ Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Engine Super Late Model.
“Man I love Fairbury, and we had pretty much a perfect night there on Saturday,†Robinson commented. “When you go into that place and beat those guys, you’ve done something. I can’t wait to go back there this weekend.
“We’ve got a great car, and I think we are about to have a pretty badass year.â€
After losing his original plans to Mother Nature, Kent Robinson visited Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday for the regular night of racing. After laying down the fourth-fastest time in qualifications, Robinson scored a heat race win, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the A-Main.
Battling at the front of the pack throughout the finale, Kent notched a runner-up finish behind Brian Shirley with Kyle Bronson, Jason Feger, and Ryan Unzicker rounding out the Top-5.
On Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), for the opening night of the FALS Cup, Robinson started the night with a heat race victory, which positioned him on the pole for the A-Main. Holding off a hard-charging Kyle Bronson, Robinson streaked to his first win of the season in the feature. Bronson, Ryan Unzicker, David Mielke, and Scott Schmitt completed the Top-5 finishers.
Robinson claimed a $2,500 payday for his efforts.
