Jeep Van Wormer Steers to Sixth Place Attica Showing; Trip to I-96 Speedway Ahead

(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer and the Iron Motorsports team made their way south to the Buckeye State on Friday, June 14 for a $2,000 to win Super Late Model battle at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Jeep moved up three spots in his heat race - despite getting caught up in a skirmish - to finish fifth and later started the 25-lap main event from the outside of the seventh row. The Pinconning, Michigan ace was then on the move early and often during the caution-free feature, as he worked his way past eight competitors en route to a solid sixth place effort.

Saturday's annual 'Barney Oldfield Race,' which carried a $5,500 top prize, was then unfortunately rained out early in the day at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio. Full results from Friday's stop at Attica can be accessed online at www.atticaracewaypark.com.

The #55 team is scheduled to enjoy the June 21-22 weekend away from the racetrack, but Jeep is slated to jump right back into action the following Friday evening, June 28 at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. The American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) will sanction a single day throwdown at I-96 and a $4,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs.
