Cory Hedgec ock Streaks to Smoky Mountain Speedway Triumph
    Sets Sights on Three-Race Weekend

Loudon, Tennessee (07/03/19) – Cory Hedgec ock enjoyed a strong weekend in both the Super Late Model and Crate Late Model division in his Cushman No. 23 K&P Used Cars/ Hidden View Lake/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine entry.

He bagged a pair of runner-up finishes in Schaeffer’s Oil Iron Man Championship Late Model Series competition and added a Durrence Layne Dirt Late Model Series victory.

“It was a great weekend for our team. We got our 10th win of the year. The two runner-up finishes with the Super Late Model were a total victory too because we’ve struggled with that part of our program for the past month or so,” Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) said. “Both cars were under me the whole weekend and felt great. We’ll take this momentum into the upcoming weekend’s events.”

On Friday night Cory Hedgec ock was one of 19 Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Championship entries on hand at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) for the $3,000-to-win, weekend opener. Earning the sixth-starting position for the A-Main via preliminary events, Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) gained four spots in the 40-lapper to reel in a runner-up finish behind Ashton Winger with Michael Chilton, Donald McIntosh, and Connor Meade rounding out the Top-5.

The following night brought Cory to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee), where he was pulling double duty in the Super and Crate Late Model ranks.

In a field of 14 Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Championship entries, Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with the second-fastest lap in his time trial group behind Connor Meade. Starting the feature in the third position, Cory improved one spot to finish second behind Ashton Winger with Donald McIntosh, Connor Meade, and David Crabtree trailing them to the checkers.

For the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series sanctioned, Smoky Mountain Moonshine Classic, Hedgec ock posted the fastest time in qualifying, which positioned him on the pole for the feature. Leading flag-to-flag, Cory fought off mid-race challenges from Brandon Williams to capture his tenth win of the season and a $3,000 payday. He topped Williams, Wil Herrington, Drew Kennedy, and Cruz Skinner at the line in the 40-lap affair.

The Fourth of July extended weekend has the team set to enter three events. Action opens on Wednesday night with a trip to Wartburg Speedway (Wartburg, Tennessee) for a $3,000-to-win program with the Topless Outlaw Series. On Friday night, action resumes at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee), where the 2nd annual J Paul Smith Memorial posts a $3,000 winner’s check for the unsanctioned, Crate Late Model event. The weekend draws to a close on Saturday night at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee) with a $2,500-to-win, Topless Outlaw Series event.
