Ray Cook Back Behind the Wheel at 411 Motor Speedway; Dixie Shootout Next

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) After over six months out of the c0ckpit, Ray Cook unloaded his #53 Capital racecar on Saturday evening, October 5 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee. The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series presided over the dirt-slinging action at the Volunteer State oval and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs.

Ray, who hails from Brasstown, North Carolina, timed in twentieth quickest overall during qualifying prior to placing seventh in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the tenth row in the 50-lap headliner, Ray wound up pulling off the track after only nine circuits due to battery issues and was officially paid for a twenty-second place showing. Full results from 411 Motor Speedway can be accessed online at www.woolms.com.

The Ray Cook Racing team will jump right back into competition this Saturday night, October 12 at the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the annual running of the ‘Dixie Shootout’ this weekend at the Atlanta-area facility and a $12,000 winner’s check will be on the line for the ground-pounding Super Late Models. Ray will also be busy on Friday, October 11, as he will promote the 16th edition of the ‘Tarheel 50,’ which boasts a $10,053 payday, at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, North Carolina. More information on these races can be viewed by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com and www.tricountyracetrack.net.
