Dennis Erb, Jr. Fourth in MARS Action at Spoon River; Tripleheader Weekend Starts Tonight

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. stayed in the Land of Lincoln over the Memorial Day holiday weekend for a pair of $5,000 to win MARS Racing Series showdowns. Things kicked off on Saturday, May 29 at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois. Dennis timed in fifteenth fastest overall during Super Late Model qualifying before running fourth in heat race action. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the 40-lap feature event, Dennis moved past a handful of competitors during the contest to land in the seventh finishing position.

At Spoon River Speedway on Sunday, May 30, another $5,000 top prize was on the line at the Banner, Illinois oval. Dennis clicked off the third quickest lap overall during the time trial session prior to picking up an impressive heat race triumph. After starting the 40-lapper from the inside of the second row, the Carpentersville, Illinois standout stayed inside of the top five to eventually earn a strong fourth place performance behind only victor Brandon Sheppard, Ryan Unzicker, and Tanner English!
