R.J. Conley Makes 2021 Debut; Conley’s Gear Up for Hectic Weekend

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) R.J. Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, made his 2021 season debut on Sunday, May 30 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. A weekly show was held for the ground-pounding Super Late Models and a $2,000 winner's check was up for grabs.

R.J. clicked off the ninth quickest lap overall during qualifying before placing third in his heat race. After starting the headliner from the inside of the third row, R.J. had moved up to the second spot and was looking for more until he unfortunately clipped one of the new infield utility tires. He was forced to pull off the racetrack with heavy nose damage and was relegated to a disappointing eleventh place performance in his season lid lifter. Full results from PRP can be accessed online at www.portsraceway.com.

The upcoming June 4-6 weekend will be a busy one for Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI), as brothers Rod and R.J. Conley will be in action across the states of West Virginia and Ohio. Rod will kick things off later this evening in the ‘Historic 100’ opener at the sprawling West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia, as a $10,000 top prize will be on the line. Saturday’s inaugural ‘Historic 100’ grand finale at WVMS will then boast a whopping $25,000 windfall. The tripleheader weekend for the #71r team will then wrap up with the running of the $10,000 to win ‘4B4EVER 40’ on Sunday at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio.

R.J., on the other hand, will start his racing weekend on Saturday, June 5 in a weekly $2,000 to win program at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. He will then join his brother on Sunday at Brushcreek, as they both vie for the $10,000 paycheck in the unsanctioned ‘4B4EVER 40.’ Additional information on the races at WVMS, Portsmouth, and Brushcreek can be found online by clicking on www.wvmotorspeedway.com, www.portsraceway.com, and www.brushcreekmotorsports.com.
