Joseph Joiner Earns First Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series Victory

Joseph Joiner Earns First Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series Victory
Claims Southern Raceway’s $10,000 Easter Race

MILTON, Fla. (04/23/25) – Joseph Joiner capitalized on his years of experience at Southern Raceway over the weekend, cruising to a $10,000 victory in Saturday’s Easter race at Southern Raceway aboard his Kubota Genuine Parts / Base Racing Fuel No. 10 Capital Race Cars Late Model.

The victory not only marked Joiner's second win of the season at the Florida facility, but more importantly, it was his first win with the newly-formed Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series.

“(Southern Raceway) is right down the road, we grew up racing here. I’ve got more laps than I could ever count here,” Joiner said. “I’ve raced here a lot and kinda know what it takes to make it happen here, I guess. It’s been good to us, ya know. It’s our home track, everybody’s got that home track. The Capital car has been digging pretty good. We struggled a couple times as well, but as a whole, our whole program is moving forward really well.”

Joiner and the Hunt the Front crew headed to their home track of Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) on Saturday afternoon as the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series invaded the 3/8-mile dirt oval for an Easter-themed special.

After qualifying fourth-quickest, Joiner outran David Breazeale in his heat race to secure the victory. Rolling off on the outside front row for the feature, Joseph drove into the lead on the opening lap and led wire-to-wire for his second Super Late Model victory of the year. Joiner banked the $10,000 paycheck ahead of Dalton Cook, Breazeale, Bo Slay, and Ashton Winger.

Saturday’s triumph represented his third overall victory of the 2025 campaign.

While the Hunt the Front team continues to evaluate their plans for the upcoming weekend, Joseph is scheduled to return to action the following week with the resumption of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series competition. The two-race slate begins Friday, May 2 at Lavonia Speedway with a $10,000-to-win feature, followed by Saturday’s prestigious Mike Duvall Memorial at Cherokee Speedway, which will award a $20,000 top prize.
