Dennis Erb, Jr. Follows World of Outlaws Tour North for Dairyland Showdown

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team ventured south last weekend to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama for the annual running of the 'Alabama Gang 100.' The World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series doubleheader was slated to start last Friday, April 25 with a $12,000 to win showdown. Unfortunately, afternoon rain showers at TST wiped out the weekend opener.

On Saturday evening, April 26, a whopping $50,000 top prize was on the line in the 'Alabama Gang 100' grand finale. Dennis Erb, Jr. went nineteenth quickest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to finishing ninth in his heat race and tenth in his B-Main. After utilizing a series provisional to start shotgun on the field in the 100-lap headliner, Dennis was able to advance seven spots to salvage a nineteenth place performance. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace now sits eleventh in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings exiting the track deemed as the Hornet's Nest. Full results from the 'Alabama Gang 100' can be found online at www.woolms.com.

Next up for the #28 team is the annual ‘Dairyland Showdown’ at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin. Later tonight, May 2, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series weekend will get underway with a $25,000 to win event. The ‘Dairyland Showdown’ will then conclude on Saturday, May 3 with a $30,000 winner’s check up for grabs. Tune into DIRTVision to watch every lap of the action or learn more about the doubleheader online at www.woolms.com.
