Rod Conley Lands on Montpelier Podium; Big Holiday Weekend Ahead for CMI

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley and his #71R team returned to the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series scene on June 27-28 in a pair of $5,000 to win throwdowns in the states of Ohio and Indiana. On Friday night at Limaland Motorsports Park in Allentown, Ohio, Rod placed second in his heat race and later wound up sixth in the final rundown of the 30-lap feature event.

With another $5,000 payday up for grabs on Saturday evening at Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, Indiana, Rod earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session, won his heat race, and later led the opening eleven circuits of the A-Main from the pole position. At the conclusion of the 30-lapper, "Hot Rod" found himself on the podium in third behind only victor Rusty Schlenk and runner-up Colten Burdette. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace also sits third in the latest version of the Iron-Man point standings following the podium effort. Full results can be found online by clicking on www.imdirt.net.
