Dennis Erb Racing Rolls into Sycamore Speedway TONIGHT Following Busy Week in Badger State

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team spent July 28-August 2 in the Badger State to compete in a trio of World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series shootouts. On that Monday night at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, a $12,000 payday was up for grabs and Dennis got off to a quick start by earning Fast Time honors during the qualifying session. After winning his heat race and drawing the sixth starting spot for the 40-lap feature, Dennis was able to work his way past a trio of competitors to land on the podium in third behind only victor Ryan Gustin and runner-up Bobby Pierce!

Next up was a visit to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin for the 38th edition of the 'USA Nationals.' In last Thursday's $10,000 to win preliminary program, Dennis advanced to fourth in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later climbed to sixteenth in the 30-lap main event. At Cedar Lake on Friday, Dennis timed in ninth quickest in Group B during qualifying before grabbing the second transfer spot through his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in Saturday's $100,000 to win crown jewel headliner, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace unfortunately received contact from another competitor near the halfway mark of the 100-lapper and wound up slipping to a twenty-second place performance.

Dennis emerged from CLS sixth in the latest version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings. Full results from the entire week in the Badger State can be found online at www.woolms.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team only has one event circled on their racing calendar for this upcoming weekend, as they will make the short trek to Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois later tonight, August 8. The MARS Late Model Championship Series will preside over a Friday night tussle that will shell out a $5,000 top prize. If you can’t make it to the Land of Lincoln oval, you can watch every lap LIVE on FloRacing or learn more online at www.marsracingseries.com.
