Dennis Erb Racing Readies for MARS Tripleheader Following Sooner State Showdown

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing is about to embark on a MARS Racing Series tripleheader in their home state of Illinois over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Later tonight, August 29, Dennis Erb, Jr. will kick off the three-race weekend at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois in a $5,000 to win showdown. A $10,000 top prize will then be up for grabs on Saturday evening, August 30 at Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. The triple shot will then conclude on Sunday, August 31 with a $5,000 winner’s check on the line at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois. Watch each night LIVE on FloRacing or learn more online at www.marsracingseries.com.

From August 21-23, the #28 team was in the pit area at Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma competing in the ‘Sooner State Showdown.’ Things kicked off out west last Thursday in a $10,000 to win Comp Cams Super Dirt Series program. Dennis laid down the quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session prior to securing a victory in his heat race. After starting the 40-lap main event from the outside of the front row and leading laps 13-18, Dennis rounded out the podium in third behind only victor Nick Hoffman and runner-up Bobby Pierce!

The World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series then roared into Arrowhead Speedway to preside over a pair of events over the weekend. In Friday’s $12,000 to win contest, Dennis once again won his heat race prior to placing sixth in the final finishing order of the 40-lapper. Seeking a $20,000 payday in Saturday’s grand finale, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace went quickest in Group B during qualifying and ran second in his heat race, but later slipped back to a fourteenth place showing in the 50-lap feature. Full results from the entire weekend in the Sooner State can be found online at www.compdirt.com and www.woolms.com.
